A look back at 2015

December 31, 2015 By Alice

As 2015 comes to an end, we take a quick look back. The ten most popular cases in 2015 according to the number of visitors were:

Hinterkaifeck
Sodder Children
Beaumont Children
Jackie Johns
Patty Vaughan
Susanne Bombardier
Brenda Lee Harvey Martinez
Dottie & Bob Tidwell
Teekah Lewis
Fiona Burns & John Lee

From the pages in the two menu bars, the Cold Case Database was of course the most visited. Not every update is published in a separate post but it is added to the third column. It also tells you when I last checked for updates. Kindly note that this list only includes cases that were discussed in separate posts on my blog. If a case was only mentioned it does not appear here on this database.

As some readers pointed out, I do not cover all the continents. Correct. I did try that in the beginning but there is just too much and I am a one woman show here. I work off a list that is mostly composed of family and law enforcement requests/tips.

My readers are mostly from English speaking countries: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand with Italy, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and Mexico following closely. I thank you all.

My blog has again doubled in traffic and won for the third year in a row a spot in the American Bar Association’s Top 100 Blawgs. None of this would be possible without you, my readers. And again, I thank you.

I have not made any resolutions nor do I have a different format in mind for this blog. But I am as determined as ever to keep old cold cases in the spotlights.

May 2016 be good to you and yours.

Fondly,
Alice

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,

Alice de Sturler
