With the best intentions, we headed into #cclivechat only to be slowed down by technology. Twitter web was not working as it should. According to some that was because priority was given to tweets regarding the situation in Japan. Others mentioned issues with @mentions and DMs.
Anyway, we made an effort and did manage to get some ideas out there. The recap is below and as I said on Twitter, we may need to think about another medium for these chats just in case this happens again. Or, we just keep our notes till next week.
The chat started with a question to Sue (@lilaclounge) about DNA. Can anyone plant a fake DNA and can a lab test for that? The answer is yes! DNA that is fabricated in a lab misses the molecule BUT anyone can take body fluids from someone and plant it on a crime scene.
We also briefly touched on the question what families can do to keep their loved one’s case in the media. Kathleen (@katcop13) will be posting about that later on in a guest blog.
