The Imperfectionists, just perfect! I really liked the book The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman. What a joy to find a gem by chance!
While browsing the book shelves, I was attracted to this book because of the cover. The layout, the font, the raised text, it all appealed to me. As I always do, I flipped to the back to read the author’s acknowledgements and I was hooked.
The book introduces you to a slate of characters who are all tied to a newspaper. Tom Rachman’s description of the characters makes you wonder what you would do if you ever met such a character in life. I can honestly tell you that I’d turn away from many of them but somehow Rachman made me curious. Curious enough to read the entire book in a few short days!
Fantastic descriptions of what looks like short stories and then you find out how they are all tied together. A wonderful read, a joy to explore, and one of those books that you will gladly read again and again. Two thumbs up!
