Update Alex Spence
Humberside Police said a body found in the River Hull was believed to be that of Mr Spence. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
A force spokeswoman said: “Humberside Police received a call at 11.40am from a member of the public reporting a body in the River Hull on Bankside, Hull. A man’s body has been removed from the water.”
“Formal identification has not taken place – it is believed it is the body of Alexander Spence and his family have been informed.”
A post-mortem examination will now be held to establish the cause of death.
Alex Spence went missing Saturday April 10, 2010 at 10.30pm when he left Princes Avenue, Hull (UK) to walk home on Beverley Road, in Hull. According to people in Hull, Alex had no history of disappearing nor did he suffer from any mental disorientation. This sudden disappearance was according to them out of character for this father of two small children.
DCC wishes to express its deepest sympathy to the Spence Family. The article is here.

I am so sorry to hear this today, Vidocq.
My sincere sympathy and prayers for strength go to the family of Alex Spence.
Thank you, friend. I will pass on your condoleances to the family.
I had sincere hope that we would fine Alex alive. My thinking went along the line of amnesia due to a combination of drinking and stumbling against or falling down something. I am saddest for the two very small children.
Thank you again for your comment and best wishes for the family.
