A guardian angel came to me, one night when I was sleeping,
I felt him gently wipe away the tears I had been weeping,
I felt his heart caress my soul with tender loving care,
When I awoke and looked around, nobody was there.
It is lovely to see that your dad is very much in your hearts and that you have such a wonderful sense of family. Thank you for your kind compliment. Grieving is an endearing expression of love, it’s a good thing, even though it hurts. At least that is what my dad used to say to me.
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult anniversary. I lost my 37 year old brother on May 20, 2001, and not a day has gone by since then that I haven’t thought of him. I understand the heartache in missing such a close family member, and I hope that your fondest memories help you get through the tough times.
Thank you, Kathleen for reaching out on such a difficult day. I thought I’d be able to handle this better now after five years but…no. Also, I am very sorry for the loss of your brother.
