Just grazed through this article. I will reread it thoroughly. However, what i read sure makes it seem close to impossible for this guy to kill that woman. I mean, COMMON SENSE, tells you to look elsewhere.

BUT: If something is so obviously wrong TO ME, without legal education, no law enforcement background, WHY did people who HAVE this type of background jail him in the first place? If it is so OBVIOUS, why is he behind bars??
There MUST be evidence that HURTS Lapointe….no?

Thanks for reading DCC and for taking an interest in the Lapointe case.

Police did not zoom in on Richard until 1989, two years after the murder. By that time, there was an urge to get the case closed and a new detective took the lead. Forensics at that time were inconclusive since only blood typing was done, NOT DNA as they claimed they had! Lapointe’s blood type corresponds with materials found at the scene but it is NOT his DNA. Combine that with the fact that he comes across as odd, constantly looks at you, constantly seeks your approval, and you could say “that he is a person of interest.” The fact that his behaviour is in line with his disability, did not cross too many people’s minds. Richard is “street smart,” meaning he takes his cues from you. He looks for anything that pleases you and repeats it over and over again to be accepted and to hide his disability.

Now, put this man in an interrogation room and question him hard for 9+ hours straight without legal counsel, and you get 4 confessions.

I hope this sheds some light on the case. There is a lot of material out there about his case. Feel free to contact me again with any questions you have.

    Thank you again, Vidocq

    This man is indeed innocent.

I feel that there were 2 male assailants that night,, looking for an old woman’s savings.

One of them had a sexual motive and the other had a monetary motive.

One held her down while the other sexually assaulted her to try and get her to tell them where her money was, they both used the gloves, hence the mixed DNA from 2 suspects.

One of them tortured her with a knife, possibly with am arm across her throat in a sort of wrestling head lock, while the other searched for cash around the apartment with the gloves on.

I would suspect the sexual assault weapon was something like a rolling pin or the charred handle of a knife that was found and that knife was hers. They may have used this to stab her, then wiped the knife clean on the bedsheets and the blood sample they found was hers and not the perps.

When they couldn’t find any cash one of them kept restraining her tying her up and the other lit the fires to cover where one of them had searched without wearing gloves.

One of them left at the rear of the building, the other via the front. They split up, one of them leaving the gloves behing to be destroyed in the fire.

The evidence does not say if the curtain at the rear of the apartment, which was found on the floor later, had been checked for forensic evidence, it only says the bed and bedding and the gloves were.

There may have been more forensic evidence here, e.g., hairs or fabric from a perps headwear.

Also the kitchen utensils do not seem to have been checked to see if anything was missing, e.g. a knife from a set of knives in a block.

Was there any bruising on her ankles to see if she had been grabbed by them to lift her onto the bed…this would have been done by 2 men, or when her legs were parted to enact the sexual assault?

Forceable parting of the thighs/legs, would leave bruising and give some idea of the perps hand size.

The many shallow stab wounds also tally with a torture for cash information.

When they couldn’t find any cash or valuables they stabbed her in the stomach, wiping the knife blad elsewhere on the bedding and then burning the knife handle as one of the perps had used it without wearing gloves.

I believe 2 men committed this crime and Richard Lapointe is neither of those men.

  4. I believe Richard Lapointe DID NOT DO IT. I was with him in Macdougall for about 2 and a half years living in the same pot. I use to work in the hospital there for two years and I always brought back sandwiches for Richard. He always wanted to play dominos 24/7.

I would stick up for him just as others did. Sometimes we would get visits together and he fell in love with my girl Cathy wouldn’t want to let go of her hands playing around. Richard could not hurt a fly!

I’ve have turned my life around. I’m a truck diver now, got my C D L Class A. So, if you or Richard need my help, call me at [number deleted by Vidster for privacy protection]. Call, I really don’t ever use my computer or never look at my email.
