Update John Sohus murder
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Candace J. Beason scheduled an April 3, 2012, pre-trial hearing in the case of Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter a.k.a. Clark Rockefeller a.k.a. Christopher Chichester a.k.a. Christopher Crowe.
Gerhartsreiter is acccused with the murder of John Sohus, his then-landlady’s son. John and his wife Linda disappeared in the mid-1980s. John’s skull and remaining skeleton were found in the backyard by construction workers. So far, there is no trace of Linda Sohus but I would not be surprised if she was found dead as well. You hope they are found alive and well but with John’s remains found I hold out little hope for Linda.
On May 5, 1994, during a swimming pool excavation on the Lorain Road property, unidentified human remains were unearthed by the construction crew. San Marino Police were called to the scene, followed by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau personnel and Los Angeles County Coroner’s personnel. Those remains were eventually identified as John Sohus.
