Jewelry May ID Skulls Found in Angeles Nat’l Forest
Police have released photos of four pieces of jewelry that may help detectives identify the skulls of a man and a woman found in a burned-out mountain ravine of the Angeles National Forest. The pictures show three rings, one with small ruby stones, one with emerald-green stones, and one with black stones, each with interlocking white gems in a gold-colored setting. The fourth piece is a gold-colored chain necklace.
The skulls were discovered last December. Cause of death has not been determined yet pending forensic tests and investigations. It is believed though that the female skull shows signs of trauma.
If you recognize these items, or, if you have information about the remains, please contact homicide investigators Detective Philip Guzman or Detective John Duncan at (323) 890-5500.

These rings look like ones that are a mother’s rings. The “black” one actually looks like blue sapphire to me. This would indicate a child in May (green), September (blue) and July (red) to me.
Excellent observation!
