Baie Dankie – Thank You – Grazie
Last night at exactly 8:14:35 pm a Blackberry user in the Toronto area of Ontario, Canada, became my blog’s 100’000th blog visitor.
Earlier in the day, my tech man Jacques Soudan, had alerted me that visitor 100’000 could pop up any day now. From the moment that we hit 99’990, we were both glued to the screen trying to make sure we got a screenshot from number 100’000. Jacques did!
Call me silly, but for me this is a milestone.
I never anticipated that my thoughts about unsolved homicides could possible lead to an extended readership. And even when people started to read the cases I never imagined DCC to become as big as it is today.
But there is more good news!
As you know, I made an ebook from all my posts in the William Thomas Zeigler case for sale at Barnes & Noble. However, the new developments and implications are so huge that I wrote an updated version. The updated version is available for free on Smashwords. This morning I read that “Zeigler, through Vidster’s eyes” was approved by Smashwords for their Premium Catalog Distribution!
So a huge THANK YOU to everyone who reads DCC, who explores it, links, and quotes.
Thank you, Jacques, for keeping it running smoothly and for being so connected to your clients. It is great to know that I am not simply another customer or number for you. You actually care why I do this and share in every joyous moment. It makes you the better web master!
Last, when I announced visitor 100’000 on Twitter an old friend said that it was him. It had to be. He had just turned on his Blackberry and he is in Toronto.
Antonin I. Pribetic @APribetic: “It was me. Do I get a prize? I’ll take a Subway coupon or a Starbucks certificate. Congrats!”
Antonin was so convinced that he was number 100’000 that he sent me his Blackberry’s IP number and guess what? He was right!
Your price, Antonin? If I ever go public you and Jacques will be the first to know!
Thanks, V

Congrats my friend! Yes, was exciting last night … seeing the counter going up … and then stop! 25 more to go and then nothing!
I’m happy for you. And proud to be part of it. When you started this blog I had no idea … “Ok, another blog…”. Maybe a bit skeptical, but so many blogs go stale after 3 months…
Not you – you kept posting, not only cold cases, but also your own analysis and mindmaps. And the CCLiveChat is really innovative – adding dynamics (and traffic) to your site.
Congrats on the Smashword approval as well! Good to see the Zeigler case being exposed in different ways. One of my motivations to help you with this site is just that case, as it remains a crying shame…
Cheers to you! On to 200K!
